with the Sierra Nevada Sisters, Evelyn Rosefield and Betsy Harden

Come together with the Sierra Nevada Sisters for a joyful day of learning about medicinal herbs! We’ll begin the day with a guided meditation to calm and focus our minds. Our first lesson will be in creating a healing salve for extremely dry skin. While the herbs are infusing, you will learn about bioregional herbalism and medicinal plants that are native to the land where the Sierra Nevada Sisters live. Following a nutritious seasonal lunch, you’ll receive the recipes and a Food is Medicine lesson. Finally, you will finish making the healing salve, and also create a tincture that reduces the discomfort and swelling associated with urinary tract infections.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the basics of ethical wildcrafting

• Identify and understand the healing properties of herbs that

o Support a healthy urinary tract system

o Deeply moisturize extremely dry skin

• Create an herbal tincture that supports a healthy urinary tract

• Formulate an herbal salve that moisturizes dry skin

$150 per person, 10 person maximum
