Petaluma based artist Becky White will bring her multi-media installation piece BECOMING | REMEMBERING to Putnam Plaza in Petaluma CA October 21st. 2023 7-9pm. The piece was created in part from a grant from Creative Sonoma and is free and open to all.  

Becky White is a multi-hyphenate artist specializing in music production and videography. White has been a lifelong songwriter and performer, and creates original songs with poetic and breathy vocal parts. She utilizes analog synths, field recordings,, and live strings. She performs with her husband, architect Nathan Pundt, as FIREKEEPER.

BECOMING | REMEMBERING is a multi-media installation which will be projected on unconventional surfaces in the Putnam Plaza in Petaluma. The installation will feature original music from White’s band FIREKEEPER’s forthcoming unreleased album along with instrumental compositions. The videography explores the natural history and ecology of Sonoma County, the human history of the area, and highlights White’s emotional landscape through her personal journey of healing and transformation as a mother and artist.

White has been gathering footage of her life in scenic Sonoma County. Using time-lapse and experimenting with depth of field, she captures the movements of clouds and water, the joy of children, explorations into wild places and the cycles of the moon.
