Prepare to be immersed in the art, culture, and history of Japan. In fall 2025, Saffron is offering two opportunities to join us on an intimate tour unlike any other. With a carefully curated itinerary crafted by Japanese locals and led by Saffron’s own John g Martin, we will take you on an unparalleled visit to some of our favorite places.
Experience Art & Tranquility
Explore the famed Art Islands of Enoshima and Teshima, absorb the architecture of Tadao Ando and installations by famed artists Yayoi Kusama, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Gerhard Richter, Shinro Ohtake, Richard Long, and David Hockney, among others.
Together, we’ll learn about traditions, delight in Japanese cuisine, and explore the beauty of the country, with plenty of optional activities to suit your interests, from paper-making and kintsugi workshops to hiking and spa time!
Because of the unique journey and lodging planned, each tour experience is limited to ten guests.
