Invocation + Sanctuary Notecards; Pack of 6
These six notecards depict original fine artworks by mixed media artist, Mary Daniel Hobson. Three of the cards reproduce layered collages from her series Invocation - which is about surrender, the benevolence that can be found in darkness and the unexpected blessing of feathers. The other three cards feature works from her series Sanctuary - in which she literally bottled photographs and re-photographed them against a black backdrop, transforming them into touchstones of a natural world that is simultaneously wild and peaceful. Made on high-quality heavy card stock, the cards measure 5-3/4” x 4” each, and come with bright white envelopes.

The Artist
For over twenty-five years, Mary Daniel Hobson has been exploring mixed media photography. Whether building layered collages, creating intimate still life or bottling photographs in mineral oil, she delights in the tactile and the symbolic. Uniting all of her work is an embedded belief that artwork can convey the complexity of our psychological existence, and help us make sense of and navigate an ever-shifting world. Hobson’s work has been widely exhibited and is in numerous collections including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Twitter, the Albuquerque Museum, and the Datz Museum in South Korea. Her monograph, Offerings, was published in 2019 by Datz Press.
